You’ll be driven an hour and a half north-east of Venice to the Collio region which, sharing a border with Slovenia and being close to Austria, is defined as a crossroad of cultures.

 

This beautiful wine road, running for 50 km through a landscape of vineyards, castles, farms, as well as taverns, wine shops and restaurants, boasts a variety of grapes between the Italian finest: malvasia, ribolla gialla, pinot bianco, sauvignon, picolit.

 

You’ll be warmly welcomed by the wine producers and invited to try the local cuisine, substantially mitteleuropean rather than classic Italian.
